Deleting an aircraft will make the previous reservations for that aircraft unaccessible. If you don't want to delete an aircraft, but would like to remove it from the schedule, you can mark the aircraft as not active. This is recommended if you need to pull the aircraft offline for an extended period of time or if you are unsure as to when the aircraft will be available for scheduling again.
Deactivating an aircraft will remove it from the schedule views so that new reservations cannot be made for it. Existing reservations for the aircraft remain unchanged when you deactivate an aircraft, therefore, if a user has already made a reservation for the aircraft and you deactivate it, the user will still see their reservation as upcoming.
For short-term downing of an aircraft, we recommend that you make a maintenance reservation for the aircraft instead of deactivating the aircraft.
Follow the steps below to deactivate an aircraft:
To perform this task you must have permission to Edit Resources.
Under the Company menu, click Resources
Locate the aircraft you want to deactivate. Under the Actions: column, click the edit icon for the respective aircraft which will bring you to the aircraft General Information page
Uncheck the box next to "Is this aircraft active?"
Press Save Changes
