To record flights, you must first activate flight recording. If you are an administrator and cannot see the Flights tab in the main menu, you do not have flight recording activated.
With flight recording activated you can create flight records in Flight Schedule Pro. Generally, flights will be recorded from reservations already made in the system, which makes it super easy to keep track of flight time.
Anyone who has permission to check-out and check-in flights can create flight records from reservations in Flight Schedule Pro. Recording flights in Flight Schedule Pro has many advantages. If used correctly, it can help increase the safety of your operations. Based on the information you've entered about your aircraft and pilots in Flight Schedule Pro, the system can run maintenance checks and pilot qualification checks at the time the flight is checked-out. Once complete, the flight can be checked-in, squawks/snags can be entered, and the aircraft meters will be automatically updated for you. With current meter times, maintenance status reports give you a real-time view of your fleet status. Flight reports help you keep track of activity, bill your customers and pay your staff.
